Level up your breakfast game with warm, creamy oatmeal layered with golden caramelised bananas. It’s indulgent, it’s nourishing and it tastes like dessert for breakfast.

    Ingredients (Serves 1)

    • 1/3 cup Cocosutra Vanilla Almond Oatmeal

    • 2/3 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

    • 1 small banana, sliced

    • 1 tablespoon sugar

    • 1 teaspoon butter or ghee

    Instructions

    Step 1: Cook the Oatmeal

In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a gentle simmer. Add Cocosutra Vanilla Almond Oatmeal and cook on low heat for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy.

    Step 2: Caramelise the Banana

In a pan, heat butter or ghee over medium flame. Add sugar and let it melt for a few seconds. Place banana slices in the pan and let them cook undisturbed for 1–2 minutes until golden and sticky. Flip and caramelise the other side for another minute.

Optional: For that signature brûlée-style finish, torch the caramelised bananas lightly using a kitchen torch until bubbling and glossy.

    Step 3: Assemble

Spoon the cooked oatmeal into a bowl. Top with the warm caramelised bananas. Enjoy hot for the ultimate cosy start to your day.

    Sugar Replacement Options

Prefer a better bowl? Swap the sugar with:

    • Coconut Sugar – Lower glycemic index, caramelises beautifully like brown sugar with a deeper flavour.
    • Date Syrup or Paste – Not ideal for torching, but great for sticky, gooey caramel-style bananas.
    • Stevia or Monk Fruit (Powdered) – These don't caramelise, but can be added after pan-frying bananas in butter for a sweet touch without actual sugar.

    If Going Sugar-Free

    For those avoiding sugar completely:

    • Just pan-fry ripe banana slices in a little ghee or butter. The natural sugars in ripe bananas will lightly caramelise on their own.
    • Add a tiny pinch of salt or cinnamon to enhance the flavour.

Optional: Drizzle a tiny bit of Cocosutra Sugar-Free Drinking Chocolate paste over the top for a guilt-free dessert-vibe.

    Serving Suggestions

    • Enjoy warm as-is or with a drizzle of honey for extra indulgence.
    • Add a spoonful of Greek yogurt on the side for creaminess + protein.
    • Not a morning person? Make this your 4 PM pick-me-up. It's filling and fancy!
